Poor Roger Troutman....he has to be a liitle upset and annoyned by what is taking place in the music industry. What use to be creative a tool, and a beautiful compliment to some of the dopest hip-hop records, how now become one of the worst things to happen in all of music. Roger Troutman provided classic with "Computer Love" and "I wanna Be Your Man", he was authentic in his approach and he was the only one using vocoder or talkbox at the time (with the exception of Teddy Riely) in the mid 90's, but Roger Troutman wasn't afraid to be seen visuality using the tool.
But here comes T-Pain with "I'm In Love With A Stripper" and the beginning of this cycle. T-Pain suddenly became a star with no talent at all. The difference between the two is that Roger man dope music. T-Pain music is catchy however, many of his records sound the same. I'm not sure if Pain wants to be a rapper of a singer.
And it doesn't end there...Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Puff all of them have caught on to this new trend. Its getting to the point where its just played out already. So from this point on. I AM GOING TO BOYCOTT THE VOICE-BOX! and If you are a true Hip-Hop fan then I hope you will do the same!

I am so joining in on this protest. As soon as Kanye announced that he would be using Auto Tune on his new CD, I decided that I would not purchase it. The voice box is taking talented rappers and making them sound like horrible faux singers. It's terrible. I hate this about music industry. One person finds something that works for them and everyone has to emulate it. Where is the originality?
Man I can't do anything but laugh @ this post. It's definitely the truth. I liked how kanye drop a voice-box verse on Jeezy's track, but now things have gotten straight up ridiculous. Blame T-Pain, I'm thinking.
And they now want to sign entire songs using a voice-box? Scary.
I HATE that voice crap! Let's ban it and ban tpain, too!
you forgot to mention R. Kelly... have you heard his new whack album the rebirth of 12play or something about 12play whatever the heck its called... that mess is used on 90% of the tracks... straight trash!
