Hip-Hop Splurge

I haven't updated this blog in like two weeks because well there is not too much to talk about in Hip-Hop. The culture is slowly dying again and its borning quite frankly. But for the past 2 weeks I have been splurging on some old classics that were either stolen, lost (stolen) or I had them on cassette and I needed to upgrade. There is nothing better then a classic rap album. Just take a look at the CD I have purchased in the span of 2 weeks. Count em up.

Thats 13 CD in a span of 14 days. Now I know that Day26 and Danity Kane does not qualify as Hip-Hop. Although if you do not have Day26 you are playing yourself. That is a great album. Out of all of those CDs I just can't stop listening to A Tribe Called Quest "Low End Theory" and The GZA "Liquid Swords". The GZA city is one of those albums that has been overlooked, he is a great lyrisist and he is highly education. Wu-Tang in the early 90s were untouchable.

Enough with all of this dumb shit. "Get Silly", "Crank that Batman", and the rest of that garabge. As a Hip-Hop head I refuse to let all of the great music die and for that reason I will continue to proudly listen to all of that classic music. However, I need to slow down because Borders is taking all of my money.

Long Live real Hip-Hop!
